Little about us

Waites Interiors is the trading name of Contes Limited. A company formed to provide building excellence to all of those clients who seek Traditional or Design and Build contractors, not forgetting core trades such as Painting and Decorating packages and associated finishes which include Window Repairs, Concrete Repairs and brickwork external repairs. Including package management, which deals with any interfacing packages that may cause the client risk, to minimize liability but to maximize production.

Partners

We have been working for the last three years in partnership with Kier, on their projects within the London Borough of Islington on their HFI (Homes for Islington) programme. We carry out the works packages in terms of performance and budget allied to your Framework rates. You will appreciate the cost and time savings which can be achieved for the client having to deal with only one contractor on these multiple trades. Here at Waites Interiors it is our philosophy not to cut corners or to seek the quick fix in either quality or commercial restraints imposed by the budget.

We are jointly involved with our clients to seek the solution in order to overcome the budget viability and feasibility problems of a limited budget. We are able to partner the client from the inception of their particular project, advise, programme and plan the works including the cash flowing the works, milestone payment scheduling short and long term funding. We are able to offer our clients an excellent tendering service, which includes budget and potential savings to their programme.

Clients list

We are able to supply a complete service to the industry which includes multi trades and general contracting to projects in excess of three million pounds sterling. We are also able to provide joint financing of projects (Subject to status and Terms and Conditions). Should you also require all trade operatives on a labour hire basis we are able to suit your requirements on a very competitive basis. Our range of operation is based around the London Boroughs and a twenty five-mile radius of the M25 covering the Southern Home Counties. We are able to advise on programming and buildability, including fostering the role of the clients, representative and meet directly with architects and planners via our own in house Architect for solution and resolution, including his consultants of a particular project. We would welcome the opportunity to quote for your works based on either a BOQ or framework rates.

Our staff have over forty years experience and have carried out major projects in excess of six million pounds for some of the largest blue chip contractors in the industry, references and testimonials will be supplied on request.

John Conway

A senior Contracts Director with a very wide range of experience in the building industry both in commercial and construction and have supervisory experience of most professional disciplines as well as the traditional major trades. An effective communicator who is computer literate, able to work on own initiative and able to monitor and control multi and major projects to a satisfactory client and employer conclusion. A sound and communicative face to face negotiator and solutions provider Proven leadership and communication skills involving managing, developing and motivating teams to achieve their objectives .Commercially astute with first class analytical skills ,and a hands on approach to problem solving. Dedication to health and safety, high quality and performance and an excellent marketing addition to the team for future and ongoing business.

Steve Wisdom

Steve has enjoyed working for some of the country's leading house builders and main contractor's, he brings the invaluable commercial experience that is sought after by our clients. His involvement on prestigious projects from £4.5m to £50m all around the London region make him a perfect candidate for Waites Interiors involvement from tender receipt through to negotiations with the client, programming and subsequent design value engineering. Steve is not only Waites Interiors Commercial Manager, but is also that of the client to ensure that the client gains value for money at all times and limits the clients risk through out the contract.

Nikos Charalambous ARB,RIBA

With more than 13 years experience of working for architectural practices, Nikos Charalambous ARB (Architect's Registration Board) register Architect and member of the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) has been extensively involved with design and construction projects whose value ranges from £30K to £80M, in the residential, retail and higher education sectors.
Whilst working for Surface Architects, Nikos was the project Architect for two projects that won RIBA Awards.
Nikos has joined forces with Waites Interiors, to provide design advice so Waites Interiors can offer a complete package of servcies, not available within other companies.

Ben Nela - Operations Manager

Ben has worked in the Decorating industry for some 20 years both here and on the continent supervising both high class and volume projects, where planning and resource with regular liaison with the client and his needs are paramount. He ensures adequate controls and supervision are regularly employed on all of our projects.

Chris Sadiku - Contracts Manager

Chris also has been in the Decorating and Finishes industry for almost twenty years and is responsible for production and quality issues on a day to day basis on our projects, with particular emphasis on adherence to our agreed method statement with the client and ensuring risk assessments are strictly adhered to.
